OUCHY!!!

My poor boy seems to be sooo clumsy sometimes.
I guess that he gets that from me.
We went shopping yesterday and the boys missed their naps so they
were both fussy. We were finally finished getting all the bargains we could find
and were almost to the car when I heard it....the horrible noise from behind....I could hear him
hit the pavement. Colton & I were already at the car; Cayden & Nana were only a car or
2 away. Cayden fell, we still aren't sure if he tripped over something or just his own feet. I didn't see anything that he might have tripped over but I wasn't concerned with the ground at the moment. Nana picked him up and he was still silently
screaming, trying to catch his breath. He screamed out and wanted me and when
I took him he held on to my neck as tight as he could. I was trying to get him
to look at me so that I could see exactly how bad it was or if he was just exhausted.
When he lifted his head there was sooo much blood...it looked like it was everywhere!
His mouth was bleeding AND it looked like he had a nose bleed also!
Of course he wouldn't let me check it out so I just put a baby wipe & a burp
rag to try to stop the bleeding. I bet we sat on the back of the van for at least 45 minutes, calming him down and trying to check out the damage. Then, once the situation was under
control & my boy was ready to get on with something else, we had to sit there and let
me calm down. After I had done my motherly duty, taking care of my boy, I was sweating bullets, got a little dizzy, nausea, I felt like crying & passing out.
Cayden has had a bloody mouth before so it didn't seem to get to me at first. But when I looked over and saw the PILE of bloody wipes and the saturated burp rag I about lost it.
I am wimpy when it comes to blood.
I have to say, he is ALL boy!

As you can see, he is doing just fine now. He finally noticed his lip in the mirror this afternoon, looked at me, then the mirror, then me...touched his lip and said "WOW"
He has been eating and drinking like nothing is wrong. Every now & then he will touch it
and say "Ouch" after he takes a drink or a bite.
For the most part, I think that it is bothering me more than it is him.
