Rotating Door

I guess I shouldn't complain about no one ever coming to visit me. I feel
like my house has a rotating door-don't get me wrong, it's a good
thing! I love being surronded by family and friends.
My parents and sister were here the end of Janurary. I didn't get to
see my parents much cause my sis and I went on retreat for the weekend.
We made a quick trip to KS over the weekend February 18th and brought Codys
grandmother back to spend time with her daughter in Denton.
Therefore, my SIL, LaDessa, came to TX the weekend of March 12th to
visit and take Grandma back to KS. LaDessa was here from Friday around lunch time
till Sunday around lunch time-it was a great relaxing time. We had Chick-fil-A and
watched the KU game. Just chilled and it was great!
THEN.....
Then my sis made a last minute decision to spend Spring Break
here. I'm not so sure that my nephew, Aspen, was nearly as excited
as we were. My mom, dad, lil' sis and nephew arrived Sunday evening, yes-the same
Sunday that LaDessa left.
We went to Ripley's Believe it or NOt and the wax museum on Monday. It was crowded-DUH!
I'm not sure the details of what we did Tuesday but I am sure
that it had something to do with shopping. On Wednesday Sonya and I spent the day
with Trisha for her Birthday and had lunch at a fabulous hibachi place.
Thursday we went to the zoo and that place was a ZOO! There was a line
to get into the parking lot before they even opened and before we left, 4 hours later,
Sonya had a small panic attack because of all of the people. Plus, she was
pushing my dad around in a wheelchair all day so I am sure that didn't help the
situation. They had planned on leaving on Saturday morning but then the news
of snow in Wichita made them decide to stay until the weather cleared. Surprisingly, they
got to see snow fall in Texas of all places. They thought that they came to the
warm state. I think that they brought the cold weather with them!! :)
Due to weather, they stayed till Monday morning. I was excited that
I was able to spend more time with them. I had Moms Touch at 930 Monday morning
so I left them here, half asleep. It had been decided the night before that Cayden
would go home to Nana's house for a few days. BECAUSE Cody's parents are going to be
here Friday evening so he could just ride back with them. Let me tell you, after
all the company I was ready for a break! I love my boy but man is he loud sometimes.
Needless to say, I rested and did laundry, lots of laundry on Tuesday. On Wednesday I did
MORE laundry, went through Caydens toys, made all the beds with clean linens to
prepare for the next visitors, continued laundry, scrubbed the house until I couldn't scrub
no more.
Found out we had overdrawn the checking account durning these few
days of 'rest'.
Thankful to our friend Sue, I called her in hopes that she might
need me to work, sit with her mom this Friday before Cody's parents
get here to help the $$$ situation so I can buy the boys some milk-hehe!
So now I just worked 11 hours today and go back tomorrow for atleast
6 hours. Thankful for the $$$ but my house isn't going to get any cleaner for the
in-laws. What's a girl to do?!?!
In Cody's words-F@%k -IT!!

Soldering

I am SOOOO excited! Saturday I will be attending Trisha's
soldering class at The Crafty Scrapper in Waxachie. I can't wait to learn
something new and to learn it from such an overly talented friend is even
more exciting. I am already thinking of all the things that I can make, the
gifts that I can create. My sis has already requested several things-HA!
I am also excited that my BFF Lynn is going to come hang out with us
when she gets off work at noon. Even though she can't take the
class because she had to work that morning-dang it!
It seems like it has been sooo long since I have seen her. I miss her!!
I have already sent a message to find a babysitter for April 3 to take the advanced
soldering class-can you tell I think I'm gonna like it!
