Brotherly Love

What cute boys I have! Love my chunky monkey & 'uh,uh' boy!!!

I don't wanna grow up!!!!

When I returned from putting away some laundry this morning this is what I found. Cayden must miss his swing, it's not fair that Bubba gets to swing all the time and he never gets too anymore! He had the cheesiest smile on his face. I couldn't get onto him, but instead I RAN to get the camera and of course he was willing to CHEEZ for the camera! He didn't want to get out but I explained that he was a big boy now and the swing was for Bubba to use now. Colton was on the floor on tummy time and after I explained that the swing was for brother, Cayden motioned (as he does) that he wanted me to put Bubba in his swing. Cayden may not be talking but he sure is good at Charades-HA!

Pet Peeves

Not even sure if that is a word or even how to spell it. BUT.....One of my BIGGEST pet peeves is when people don't do what they say they are going to do. What ever it maybe, a phone call, a visit, a whatever!!! If u don't plan on it for sure then make that known or just don't say it at all! I just don't get it! Why do people do that? I am sooo tired of feeling hurt or forgotten about. I don't know why I let it get to me either so that is also one of my pet peeves about myself. Not saying that I am anywhere close to perfect but....
OK, I think I am done. I just had to get that off my chest. Thanks for letting me vent.

I feel the need.......

.....the need to decorate!!

While our company was in town, we made a stop at Hobby Lobby. I bought the 3 hooks and then returned today by the metal Laundry hook/sign. I just couldn't stop thinking about it so I HAD to go get it! I hate it when that happens-ha!

Can I just say that Hobby Lobby is the best place on earth, not only can u find scrappin' supplies but they have the coolest decor! If anyone ever has trouble thinking of what to get me, GC from HL would ROCK!!! Just a thought.

LOVE HOBBY LOBBY!!!

Rollin'

Today is the first day that Colton finally rolled ALL the way over. From his back to his stomach. The first time he did it when I had my back turned, of course. And now he just won't stop.
Cause that's how HE ROLLS!!!
;)

A New Start

Friday night I finally decided that it was time to move the boys forward. I was the one who really didn't want the movement so I made the decision that since Cody was going to be off this weekend to make him do it, make him be the bad guy.
We took Cayden's paci away from him, he was only getting it at bed time but man he sure did love that thing. I just couldn't bring myself to do it, poor guy! He has done soooo good. Nap time is the hardest but at bed time it is a breeze.
On the same night, Colton began to sleep in his crib, in the room alone. He is such a brave boy, he didn't make a peep until 440a for a diaper change, and woke for a bottle at 7a. The second night was even better, 545a for a diaper change & 8ish for a bottle. That is a blessing, now if I could just sleep and quit going in his room to make sure he is still breathing and OK.
My boys are growing up and it is a WONDERFUL heartache.

The gang

Here are some pics of all the kids together. They had SOOOO much fun together. They were all so good to Colton, Haley always wanted to hold him & feed him, Asthon would run to someone EVERY time Colton was cryin' and say 'baby cryin! Hey, baby cryin!!' And Big Brother still wants to help feed him, burp him, pat him, & give him his paci.

Spring Break Day #3

(Cayden & Ashton rode the carousel at GMM. Wasn't sure how Cayden was going to react but he LOVED it and cried cause it was over)

It was a busy spring break in the Forrest house this year. We had some of our best friends come visit for the week, Judd & Christina and the kids-Ashton, who is 4, & ,who is 9. (For those of you who were at my wedding, Haley is/was Cody's "girlfriend"!) I can't believe that she is already 9!! She's no longer sure if she is going to move in with Cody when she turns 18, she informed him this visit that she would have to get back to him on that-haha! What a girl!!

They arrived on Monday evening and the kids NEVER wanted to go to bed. They were just having toooo much fun playing!

Tuesday they all went to the Dallas World Aquarium. I got to hear about all of the animals that they saw. Ashton was sooo excited and what a sweet boy to share his new sea animal toys with Cayden since his daddy insisted that he did not need any more toys. (which is true) Colton & I had to stay behind for his 4 month appointment; he weights 15 pounds 5 ounces & is 26 inches long. Dr reports all is good. After his appointment, we went to Lynn's house to check out the progress that her & the boys had made on their room. U could tell that they had been working but when I got there and was actually able to help for a few hours they were probably glad to see me leave-hehe! I gave the boys a time limit to do a task and tried to make it more fun, more of an accomplishment but still reaching the goal in the end. I haven't made it back over to actually SEE the end result, I tried tonight but Lynn cancelled on me last minute! Then my phone rang and it was time to leave and meet the gang for dinner. We went to Bone Daddy's in Grapevine...for those of u who haven't been just think of Hooters with cuter girls, more boobs and little white ruffled socks. Just what we need, another hoochy mama place for our guys to go drool and waste our money!! OK, I stop.

Then on Wednesday we all went to the Grapevine Mills Mall and had lunch at the Rainforest Cafe. Cayden LOVED all the animals and noise there. He really didn't want to leave. After that the kids were pooped and fell asleep in the car. My boy only need his 30 minute power nap and was at full force again when we got home. Poor Ashton slept the rest of the night, sleepy boy.

Thursday was just as busy but the fun had to come to end, they left early Friday morning. Ashton had his first soccer game Saturday!

Bath Hair

No matter how many times I see it...................Just gotta LOVE CRAZY bath hair!!!

Side note:Do u think this boy needs any more bathtub toys? Hehe!

March 16,2009

That was the first day that baby Colton sat in his walker. Boy did he love it! He was full of talk and loved that he was able to be in the middle of the crowd and watch everyone. Finally he was up with the rest of us. His feet do not reach the floor so it is wonderful to watch his little feet go 90 2 nothing. Know when I am trying to cook or do laundry and he wants more attention he gets to be in the same room with me and he seems to love it.

He is growing up soooo fast!

OWLmygoodness!

Ain't this just FABULOUS!!!
Pure HAPPINESS!!!
I can't wait to make this owl. I just want to squeeze him. The things that people come up with sometimes shock & amaze me! I have trouble trying to figure out how to get Cayden to eat more veggies!!

Happy Birthday.....

Trisha!! Even though it felt as if it was my Birthday. I am so proud to be surrounded by such kind hearted and generous souls. This is the Birthday girl herself all decked out. We had a day full of creativity, which felt great! First we went to Mosaic Madness and we each were able to create our own projects(hope to have pics later). We sat around a big table and talked...girl stuff. It was WONDERFUL since I am surrounded by boys!! Then we were treated to lunch at Dove's Nest. The food was OUTstanding, makes my mouth water thinking about it! It is a cute restaurant and shop....it was HARD for me to walk out with nothing in my hands-HA! That is the shopaholic part of me shining through-hehe! then we went to The Crafty Scrapper just next door and created a CUTE canvas & St. Patricks day pin. As if that wasn't enough, she also gave each of us a goody bag filled with prizes.......what girl doesn't love prizes. Despite that fact that I was feeling bad that this was her birthday and I felt as if I was being pampered with the girls, I had a wonderful time and hope to have more time this year to do more GIRL outings.

Sesame Street LIVE!!

What fun! While we are in KS visiting, Nana insisted that we go see Sesame Street Live. She was sure that Cayden would LOVE it.
And boy, was she right! He was laughing, screaming, clapping & dancing. Even Colton seemed to enjoy it....that is until he passed out the last half~ha! We had popcorn, nachos & dippin dots....YUM!! Cayden was such a good boy, he only had one minor melt down.....he wanted to go over to the railing and dance; the girl sitting in front of us was allowed to so he thought that he should also, as did the little boy sitting behind us. Poor guys! So one little girl made it ruff on (at least) 2 little boys but boy was she having a blast. Papa said that he didn't think that she stopped dancing once. I am sure that this is ONLY the beginning of my adventures to watch furry things dancing on stage....but those are ADVENTURES that I am looking forward to and am sure that I will cherish. Of course Cayden walked away with souvenirs....Nana got him a Big Bird & a light swinger thingy with Elmo on it. Who knows what they call it, but it lights up and has Elmo so of course it's a seller-hehe!
So keep it up Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Grover, Count, Grouch.....All of the gang! See you next time!
