Our Cheerleader!

Daisy Mae spent almost a week with her sister Taya & Aunt LaDessa. Her and Taya enjoyed a spa day together and played non-stopped. She was spoiled while she was with her Aunt LaDessa; she got to sleep on the bed with them, running around the house all day, where fabulous little outfits. This is the cheerleader outfit that she wore for football night. Aunt LaDessa & Taya get together with their friends every week to watch football, Taya wore her jersey and loaned this to her sis' Daisy Mae to wear so that she didn't feel left out. I am sure that they were cute together. Well Aunt LaDessa forgot to get pics of them so she loaned it to us so that we could get a photo for our scrapbook.Almost looks like a little fat cheerleader-that's just wrong!!
Go Team!!!!

Christmas Puppies

Aren't they all soooo cute!!! Willy dog acts like he is being punished when you put a sweater on him and then to let Cayden sit next to him and torture him is just not nice-ha! I am amazed that they all set there patiently while I tried to get a good picture. After about 5 or so I just gave up and went with this one of all of them. Like I said before-Willy! Cayden just loves them soooo much, he reminds me of the girl on looney toons ( I think) that just LOVES THEM TO DEATH. He has good intentions!!
Woof Woof Woof!!!!
Translation: Merry Christ-mas!!!!

Our Newest Addition!

Poor Deer! Makes me wanna cry & hug the poor thing. I can't complain to much, I knew what I was getting into when I married a hunter-or atleast I was supposed to. I always thought that 1 deer on the wall was all a guy ever needed but obviously I was wrong. I'm not sure what he will name this one but I think that he is going to be hanging opposite of BOB in the entry way. I learned yesterday that it takes months to get them ready to hang on the wall (stuffed/mounted) so I still have some time to enjoy the fact that there is only 1 poor deer hanging in my home.
Deer jerky anyone????
HA!!!

Sleepy Snow Day

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ!!!!!!!!!!
There is snow on the ground and BURRR it is cold!!! Gotta love KANSAS! I looked over and this is what I saw. I love how the 2 of them were completly out without a care in the world. Colton was stretched out on Papa's belly just as comfy as could be. It has become VERY obvious to all of us that Colton loves the BIG bellies!!! If he is fussin' just pass him onto Papa's belly and he is good!

Trimming the Tree

Tuesday night we decided to put up the Christmas tree at my parents house. Cayden was oooohing & ahhhhing over all of the ornaments as he pulled them out of the box to put on the tree. He loved hanging out with his cousin Aspen-One of his favorite people in the world! Cayden keeps going over to the tree and bringing us the ornaments. I think that he always grabs from the same spot because now there is a bare spot-HA! Now Mom & I just have to get busy wrapping the gifts to put under the tree. Only time will tell if he is going to leave the gifts be or not. Tis' the season!!!!

"Little Turkey"

See our new "Little Turkey!" Ain't he a cutie! He was a hit this holiday season. A little turkey like this just reminds us how much we truly have to be thankful for. So thankful to God for all of my boys, even the big tall one-HA! Thankful that my family got to spend this Thanksgiving together. It is nice to have everyone together, joking & laughing and boy did we laugh!

Hope that everyone reflects on the things that they have to be thankful for this holiday and enjoy every moment.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!!

The Littlest Forrest

Colton Dwain Forrest arrived Monday, November 17 @ 0726 AM weighing in at 8.5 lbs and 20 inches long.

We are so excited about our newest addition. Cayden loves being a big brother and is naturally GREAT at it. He always wants to see how his baby brother is doing and runs to check on him when he starts crying. He has helped me feed him and gives him kisses all the time. What great friends they are going to be.

Cowboys Rule!!! 11-4-08

Last night we decided to go out to eat BBQ. Got Cayden ready and he looked SOOO cute with his new haircut and in his Cowboy boots I just wanted to eat him up!!

Yesterday we took Cayden to see the cattle herd. He loves animals. His eyes got really big when he saw the longhorns come around the corner. Of course everytime that I tried to take a pic he turned his head to look at something so the one to the left is the best that I got while we were there.

Such a BIG BOY!! 11-03-08

Monday Cayden & I had an appointment to get our hair done. While I was processing Cayden got his hair cut. He sat in the chair all by himself & got his very own cape, just like a BIG BOY! He did so good. Tiffany is always impressed at well he sits still and does so good. Tiffany rocks so that helps!!!! We decided to spike his hair and he looked SOOOO cute! He kept touching it, it was funny. He loves to put product in his hair. Every time Cody or I are doing our hair Cayden thinks that he has to have his hair done also. My boy is growing up.............way tooooo fast!

Happy Halloween!!!

Daisy Mae-Bee & Willy Dog

Firefighter Cayden.

Alex-Pooh Bear, Tiffany-Tigger, Andi-Angel, Cayden-Firefighter & Tanner-Power Ranger(I think?)

Firefighter Cayden & I went to the Fall Festival at NRHBC first, then went to The Rankins and met up with the gang. From there we went to a Trunk-n-Treat at another church then returned to The Rankins home and walked their street. On our way home we called Daddy and he met us outside so that he could get first pick through the candy. Finally home around 10PM and the Firefighter was all fired out. Got our PJ's on & rocked on momentarily before he was off to sleep.

Firefighter Cayden had SO much fun, he was all smiles and laughs. He loved looking at all the other little boys & girls all dressed up. He was such a good Firefighter!!

Willy Dog will have nothing to do with any type of shirt or costume so he just gave us his scariest stare. Daisy Mae is a good sport even though the hood keeps falling over her eyes and she just follows my voice.

Hope that everyone had a spooktacular Halloween!!

Pumpkin Patch

Today we went to a HUGE pumpkin patch. It was slightly on the warm side but Cayden loved walking around all the pumpkins. He is my 'lil' pumpkin!' We had so much fun but being just 3 weeks from having baby brother I wasn't able to stay for very long. Cayden had so much fun that I think we are going to go back later this week with Daddy.
Pumpkins everywhere!!!!
So many to choose from how will we
choose just one?!?!

Cowboy Tough

1 down....only 2 to go! This is one of the small, 8X10, canvas' that I made for the nursery. I am happy with it. I am about 1/2 way done with the other 2 canvas' if only I could make a final decision and stick it all down. When I get the other 2 completed I will post them also.
Hope you like it!

Frankie

Meet Frankie...Isn't he cute!!! This is one of the things that we made at my Stampin' Up stamp club Wednesday night. I just love looking at him, he is sitting on my mantel so that I can see him everyday. I only wish that I had the energy to make more so that I could share his cuteness with others! She used the Sizziz Big Shot that they are now selling and the Big Note Die. Makes me wonder if Cuttlebug sells a similar die so that I could make them next year?!?!?!

Happy Halloween!!!!

Fall Fun!!!

Saturday our HOA hosted a fall festival at our park. They had a petting zoo, bounce house, face painting, games, food & drinks. It was a beautiful day to spend time outside with my boys. The sun was shining with only a slight breeze to help keep you cool. Of course Cayden was only interested in the petting zoo. I was able to get him to drink some but then it was straight back to the goats & chickens. That boy isn't afraid of anything! He was amazing all of the other parents at how affectionate he was without any hesitation. I'm not so sure that that is a good thing.......

Circus Fun!!!

Thursday night we took Cayden to the Shrine Circus. He LOVED the animals! I think that he did such a good job, he sat still for the 1st 40 minutes, after that he was only interested when the animals were performing. He had absolutely no interest in the gymnast what so ever! Then it was intermission so we got to take a break and go for a walk. When Cayden & I returned for the RR, his Daddy surprised us with a light saber-OH BOY!!! (And thank goodness for Tylenol cause that thing is LOUD but he sure does love it!) So the 2nd half of the show, when he got bored, light saber to the rescue! Sure glad that the couple in front of us didn't mind getting poked more than once.

ENORMOUS cabinet!!!!

Well here it is.....the GREAT BIG cabinet!!! It really isn't that bad. It looks like it has always been there. I am just glad that we didn't have to pay for the damn thing-Thanks to Jaime for making it!!! I am also glad that there isn't some ugly ass green metal safe sitting in the middle of my hallway.
Now if only I could keep the dead animals from appearing on my walls-HA! Not going to happen but it was a nice thought.
Things that I have, or at least have to, learn to live with. My life will always be surrounded by Bob (the deer in the entry way) and the bird coffin, I mean coffee table, in the entry way....and I realize that those are only the beginning of my personal little bass pro shop. Golf clubs, bows, guns and all that man-ly shit will always be the decor of my home. Because of this I believe that in the next house I deserve a pink scrapbook room to escape to! I love my boys but why couldn't they just scrapbook along side me-hehehehe!!!!

I survived!!!!

Well friends.....I made it through the weekend un-harmed! I missed my little guy but it was nice to be able to hang out with the girls on Saturday and do things that I love.

Saturday I was at Michaels by 9AM, Tim Holtz was there doing demos all day. Did a really cool make-n-take.....made butterfly pins using his grunge board that they die-cut, then ran through the cuttlebug to emboss. Used dabbers to paint, then sanded, and sprayed with a glimmer mist, added the metal stuff and poof....a beautiful butterfly. That GRUNGE BOARD is some really cool stuff. It is better than chipboard. You can get it wet and it won't tear up, you can even wash & dry it without messin' it up! A little freaky!

I also did a make-n-take in the new & fabulous beading section of the store. It looks like a candy store with all the different colors & beads. I enjoyed it so much that I came home and made another bracelet with the left over beading stuff that they sent home with us.
Makes me want to pick up a new hobby!!!! As if I need something else to add to my "TO DO LIST"
So as you can tell, I really enjoyed myself on Saturday and if Cayden had been here, I wouldn't have been able to do attend the Michael's Re-Grand Opening & the other creative things.
Some of us girls went across the parking lot for lunch at Red Robin, that place is sooooo good!!
I made a stop at the house to check on the dogs & pick up some scrapbooking stuff and off to the NFWBC to crop with Marylee & some new ladies. They were ALL sooo nice!! I was great to hang out with such a nice group of ladies. I think that I am going to try to join that group more often.
Here's to creating and giving Mommies a well deserved break!!!!!!!

43 Days is WRONG!

My ticker says that I have 43 days left till baby comes but that is wrong. That is when my due date was November 22 or whatever but now it is the 17th which sounds much better to me!!!!
Just wanted to point that out cuz I am tooo lazy to go to the site and change it all and try to get it to post again....that was alittle difficult for me-hehe! I'm not the best when it comes to computer stuff. That is why my blog is not very pretty. I keep trying to change stuff but no luck so far. Oh well!!!

HOME ALONE!!!!!!!!

My boys left for Kansas around noon today. It is offical, I am HOME ALONE!!! Not sure what I am going to do without my little man. Although he does drive me crazy sometimes it is going to be hard to go without him around this weekend. I think that tonight will be the hardest on me. I am sure that he will do just fine! Of course I cried when I put in the truck and didn't want to let him go, and his Daddy said that it is only 2 days! I know that I will enjoy the break but......want him to stay but want him to go kinda thing.
I have plenty to keep myself busy though. I am working on a Christmas gift/frame that I am hoping to complete and check off of my list tonight. Then tomorrow morning one of our Michaels is having a grand opening and Tim Holtz is going to be there and lots of stuff going on so I plan on checking that out. Then sometimes after that I am going to go to a crop at a church near my house, it is all day, from 10-10. Don't know how long I will last but it will be fun. Hopefully I can complete another Christmas gift while I am there and hopefully get started on the 3 canvas' for the nursery. Then that leaves Sunday-guess that I will just have to go shopping to keep my heart from making me cry over my boy! Notice how CLEANING is no where in the plan-HA! Although, I have thought that this would be a good weekend to have a housekeeper secretly clean and then I could take the credit for it-hehe!
I've stopped by the hospital to visit Lynn but she is sleeping so I am just sitting here. I will stay till I can't take it anymore.

Shoe Obsession!!

I have no idea where he gets it from either........
This boy is cracking me up more and more everyday. He has always loved his shoes and wants them on most of the time but lately he goes back to his room, after I put his PJ's on, gets his shoes and fusses for me to put them on. So he is running around the house in PJ's and shoes. He has sooo many shoes already it is ridiculous. I will have to try to get a picture of him in his slippers one evening, it is the cutest thing ever. His Dad can't help buy laugh at him when he is wearing them.
A boy and his shoes!!!! I wonder if he is going to be one of those kids that has to wear his boots with everything and every where?!?! Time will tell.
