88 days to go....

My ticker says that I have 88 days left till my due date. It seems like I have much longer than that but at the same time it feels like I am ready to explode. My tummy is sooo tight and feels so big. I don't remember feeling this way with Cayden until the last month but they do say that the 2nd time around everything happens soooner than the 1st. I am proof of that!
Friday is my last day at work-Yippee! I am both excited and saddened to be going home. I am ready to get back to my OWN place, stuff and routine but I am going to miss being around my parents, sis, and nephew all the time. It won't take long for me to get lonely. I am sure that "NESTING" will kick in soon and that will keep me busy-HA!

I had this wonderful plan to take a picture of us together every birthday to mark the occasion and to notice how much our little boy has grown. Needless to say, this is the best picture we got that day. I guess that one of the things that I have had to learn as a mother is that things are not going to be perfect and that is part of the beauty of it. So this picture is the one that is going to mark the 1st year. And what a wonderful year it has been. Being a mother is definitely a gift from GOD!

A Nana & her boy!

Cayden is Nana's biggest fan! It is great to see how much he has grown to love her in these few months. Who wouldn't love her though. And he can get her to do anything for him and give him anything he wants. He sure is gonna miss her when we go home next weekend. Mom won't know what to do with the house being so quiet, not having to step over the toys ALL over the living room floor or change a million dirty diapers. I am sure that work will keep her busy but I believe that it is going to be hard on both of them for the first few days. Not to worry though, we will be back in the graces of Nana in just a short 2 weeks so that she can start the spoiling all over again!! Thanks Nana for all of your love and support and Popsicles, fruit, snacks, toys, hugs & kisses. We luv u!

Sisters!!!!

This is a pic of my lil' sis' & I. She is my BEST friend and I love her!!!! As we get older the closer we become. I have enjoyed being in KS and getting to see her all the time. I am going to miss her when I go home. But only 2 short weeks and I will be back and we will be stuck in the car together for at least 13 hours on our way to Tenn and I am sure that we will get on each others nerves at some point during that time but that is what makes us sisters. LOVE YA SIS!!!!

Birthday Boy

This picture is late but what can I say. Cayden had so much fun at his First Birthday party. his first party in TX he was sick and didn't have any fun at all. He cried when we gave him his cake but this time he loved it. He would only stick one finger in the cake at a time but atleast he was lovin' it. He got lots of new toys & was full of joy and laughter. His laugh is sooo contagious! He does this thing where he crinkles up his nose and smiles....it is sooo cute!!!

He's gonna be a COWBOY!!!

Yesterday was my baby shower and I got a lot of great gifts. I finally decided to do the nursery in a western theme. My parents got me this Fabulous quilt for the crib with denim bumper & bed skirt. I am so excited to go pick out a paint color for the walls to match. Cody is going to try to have the nursery painted before Cayden & I get home at the end of the month, that is if I would ever go pick out the color-HA! My friend Jeffier got me a COWBOY sign for the wall & a star picture frame for the nursery. I got a few blankets, receiving blankets, bottles, diapers, clothes, shoes, bouncy seat......lots of GREAT stuff. We had fun! As one of the activities we had each guest decorate a onsies and a burp rag with paint and stamps. Most people enjoyed themselves and were much more creative than they ever thought that they could be. I might even have at least one girl hooked on stamping-HA! I can't wait to put the little guy in the 'ONE OF A KIND' onsises and use the burp rags. Thanks to everyone!

What a guy!

I may complain that my husband is not the best at gift giving and that I never get flowers but when he does something like this last surprise he goes and totally redeems himself. I told him Saturday evening that I was still in shock that he was here, he stated, "I don't know why your so shocked cuz I'm ssssuuucccchhhhh a ROMANTIC!!!" We both laughed out loud, even made Cayden laugh! We had a wonderful time together. Just being together was great, having him to cuddle with through out the night, watching him & Cayden together was wonderful. Oh how I love him!
