Sesame Street LIVE!!

What fun! While we are in KS visiting, Nana insisted that we go see Sesame Street Live. She was sure that Cayden would LOVE it.
And boy, was she right! He was laughing, screaming, clapping & dancing. Even Colton seemed to enjoy it....that is until he passed out the last half~ha! We had popcorn, nachos & dippin dots....YUM!! Cayden was such a good boy, he only had one minor melt down.....he wanted to go over to the railing and dance; the girl sitting in front of us was allowed to so he thought that he should also, as did the little boy sitting behind us. Poor guys! So one little girl made it ruff on (at least) 2 little boys but boy was she having a blast. Papa said that he didn't think that she stopped dancing once. I am sure that this is ONLY the beginning of my adventures to watch furry things dancing on stage....but those are ADVENTURES that I am looking forward to and am sure that I will cherish. Of course Cayden walked away with souvenirs....Nana got him a Big Bird & a light swinger thingy with Elmo on it. Who knows what they call it, but it lights up and has Elmo so of course it's a seller-hehe!
So keep it up Elmo, Cookie Monster, Big Bird, Grover, Count, Grouch.....All of the gang! See you next time!

When it rains it pours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just found out tonight some more bad news!
On the news last night they said that there was a boy hit by a car and he was killed. He was crossing at the intersection of Douglas & Rock Rd, he was walking-had gotten off of his skateboard to cross the road. There have been different reports-1. He was zig zagging through cars and when a car turned they didn't see him until it was too late. 2. he was in the crosswalk but he had a red hand and when the car had the green arrow he was hit. I am not sure what exactly happened and it really doesn't matter. I can't even imagine what the person in the car must be going through, even more so, what his parents are going through. I received a call from Cody's sister, LaDessa, and the parents are some of her BEST FRIENDS. I stopped by there tonight and saw Lisa, the mother, and she did not look good at all. Please keep all the family and friends in ur prayers.

...AGAIN...

Once again we are in KS! The boys & I hitched a ride back with my mother & sister-in-law so that I was able to attend my friends father funeral on Tuesday. The services were nice, I actually learn alot of things about Charles that I did not know. How one person could accomplish sooo much in one lifetime is greatness. I wish that he was around to teach me how to do so much and help so many people. He was a teacher of many sorts, principle, boy scouts, active in the church, food drives.....the list went on & on! I had no idea. I knew that he ALWAYS had a ton of stories to tell and was never at a loss for words. He could tell some GREAT stories. I think that is the thing that I will miss most, and his smile and how his has always accepted me and my family with open arms and was always there for us, at every event. I will miss his smile & humor.
I will miss him dearly!
God Bless!

I didn't get much scrappin' done cause I was tooo busy talkin' to the girls. It was sooo great to be around girls in general and have adult conversation with women. Gold Stars 4 Daddy!!

I spoke to my mom after Daddy had his 2 test, the treadmill & breathing test.....he passed the treadmill test; his heart is good. The breathing test showed that he has damage to his lungs from ALL of his years of smoking (hint 2 Jeffier!!) so therefore he is now on an inhaler and advised to lose weight.
He went in on Tuesday morning for an endoscopy & colonoscopy...they removed one polyp from his stomach and said that it was VERY inflamed, and removed, I think, 3 polyps from his colon. We should get the results in few days. But I am sure that they are all good......my dad is a bigger hard ass than I am!!!!
But either way please send out your prayers that all is well.

Thursday....

This morning starting off great. Colton woke up and gladly chewed on his hands as I lay in bed trying to wake up. After Colton finished breakfast, I made myself a cappuccino and Cayden slow woke up. He woke up running this morning. He didn't eat much breakfast because he saw his bat & ball out on the back porch and immediately wanted to go play. I put on his sweats and made him bundle up as if we were in Kansas! and he played all morning. He would take rocks from the patio table to the porch, back & forth, just playing with rocks despite the fact that he had a dump truck, bat & ball, and both dogs outside.....the rocks were the high light of his day! I keep telling people that he doesn't need ANY more toys but no one EVER listens-he! He didn't eat much lunch, I guess that he wore himself out playing and then it was nap time. Colton had a great day, just laying around, being waited on, hand & foot. He was awake most of the morning and didn't get fussy until later in the evening with gas pains-poor baby!
Unfortunately the day did not continue to be blissful.....I received a call from a VERY close friend that her father, Charles, passed away this morning. Our call got disconnected so I am unsure of any details at this moment. I know that he was having radiation & chemo for what I believe was throat cancer. I had not been over to see him since at least Christmas. For that I am VERY sad, he was a GREAT man, kind, wise, loving, accepting, wonderful, loving, happy, and just a joy to be around. He will be greatly missed. For this my day has turned onto a sad note but I turn my trust to God that he is in a better place now, with no pain or suffering, looking down on us with a smile and gentle grace. My concern & love goes out to Sue in these next few weeks of hard ship and suffering, and to the love of his life....may she strive forth with the memories of the wonderful man that awaits her at the gates of heaven.
Please pray for my friends in their time of grief & loss of someone soooo dearly loved.
God Bless
